Make A Payment

Make A Payment is the screen where users enter their payment information and submit payments.

Note

System Admin role users do not have the capability of making Payment, Capture, Void, and Refund whereas Merchant Admin role users have all these capabilites. Merchant User role user can make payments and capture them, but cannot Void or Refund.

The default Make A Payment screen looks as follows if the user's default terminal type is set up as Card Not Present

The page contains the following elements:

  1. Booking Information — Section with the Membership Number field
  2. Payment Information: Section with the payment related fields and drop-downs:
    • Invoice Number — The invoice Number of the Payment
    • Payment Type — Whether the payment is a single or split payment. A single payment uses only one payment method whereas a split payment uses two or more payment methods.
    • Amount — The payment amount
    • Currency — The currency of the payment
    • Payment Action Drop-down to select a Payment Action

The Payment Action drop-down displays with the options of Balance Inquiry, Force Capture, Pre-Authorization, and Sale to select from, to perform the transactions as per user's needs.

Payment Action

The Payment Action will be ignored for eCheck and PINless Debit transactions while submitting payment information.

Note

The Payment Action drop-down will display based on the Payment settings at the Merchant level.
Force Capture option will be displayed only for Merchant Admin and Merchant User role users'.
Balance Inquiry option is hidden if the Gift Cards module is disabled at the merchant level.

Memo field

A Memo field displays that will allow the user to enter any additional information that they would like to accompany for their payment.

Memo

The field would be especially useful for cash, check, and money order payment methods on the Make A Payment screen.

Customer Information

Customer Information section displays looks as below and contains the following elements:

Customer Information — This section display with the following fields related to Customer:
* Customer Name — Field to enter the name of the Customer.
* Billing Email — Field to enter the billing email address of the Customer to which the payment details are sent when a payment has been made.
* Re-enter Billing Email — Field to re-enter the billing email adress of the customer.
* Billing Mobile # — Field to enter the billing Mobile number of the customer.
* Re-enter Billing MObile # — Field to re-enter the billing Mobile number of the customer.

If the Booking Information is enabled at the merchant level, then the Customer information section displays with an additional field called Group Name as below:

An additional section display on the Make A Payment page before Payment Information section when the Booking Information section is enabled at the Merchant level and contain the following elements:

Folio Information

Booking Information — This section display with the following information:
1. Transaction Number — Field to enter a 6-digit transaction number.
2. Check-In Date — Field to select a Check-In Date from the calendar available.
3. Check-Out Date — Field to select a Chec-Out Date from the calendar available.
4. Resort/Cruise — Drop-down with the available Resort/Cruise list to select from.

All the above fields are required when the Folio Information features are enabled at the merchant level. These fields are hidden if they are disabled at the Merchant level.

Payer Information

The Payer Information contains the following three radio buttons:

  1. Card On File — radio button displays only if the user has saved payment method(s)
  2. Card Not Present — button to select if the payments are made via Card Not Present
  3. Card Present — radio button to select when the user wants to make payment via Card Present terminal

Note

Card On File radio button appears only if the user have saved payment method(s) and if the Payment Tokenization is enabled for the merchant to which the user is associated.
The User can set up the default Terminal Type in their settings via My Account page.

Note

Signature will be displayed or hidden based on the merchant settings.

When Invoice module is enabled and the Convenience Fees is turned on, the Make A Payment page displays as below:

Clicking Upon the Review button, the user is taken to the Review Payment page and the page shows up with the computation of the fees as below:

Clicking upon the Transaction Management link, the user will be taken to the Transaction Management screen.

The Payment Confirmation screen displays after a user submits a payment and contains the following elements:

  1. Email, Text Message and Print buttons for the user to email, text message or print the transaction information
  2. Payer Information — Card/account information and the amount of the payment
  3. Billing Information — Billing Information associated with the card/account or user
  4. BIN Information — BIN information of the card used
  5. Payment Response — Payment-related information that comes back from the payment gateway
  6. Other Information — Other payment-related information without a specific category
  7. Geolocation Information — Geolocation information from which the payment has been made
  8. Void — Button to void the Payment
  9. Capture — Button to Capture the Payment
  10. Transaction Management — Link to go the Transaction Management screen
  11. Make another Payment — Button to go Make A Payment screen to make another Payment

On the Confirmation view under the Payer Information section, when switched to the Image view by the provided toggle switch, the Card image gets displayed, likewise under the Gelolocation Information when switched to the Street Map, the geolocation displays with the map view.

The page looks as below when the switches are changed to image views.

Force Capture

When Force Capture is selected as Payment Action by the user, then one more field called Auth Codewill display in the Payer information section and it is a required field. The user has to enter a related Auth code in the field.
